The reasons are many: new requirements imposed on providers by the “Affordable Care Act,” new models of care like Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs) and patient centered medical homes, our graying population and longer lifespans, as well as the increased incidence of several chronic medical conditions like diabetes and obesity.For case managers, there is an opportunity to help meet this growing demand, while gaining greater career opportunities.
