Mullahy & Associates, LLC (Huntington, NY, www.mullahyassociates.com), one of the nation’s leading healthcare consulting and case management training firms, recently provided one of its premier case management educational seminars to the Greenville Health System (Greenville, SC). The two-day program, “Best in Class Case Management – Your Gateway to Certification and a Leading Edge Practice,” was attended by a large group that included nurses, social workers and other professionals serving in hospitals, ambulatory facilities, medical group practices, home care and other patient settings. Leading the program were Mullahy & Associates principals, President Catherine Mullahy, RN, BS, CRRN, CCM and Vice President Jeanne Boling, MSN, CRRN, CDMS, CCM. Attendees had the opportunity to earn 14 Continuing Education (CE) Units through Commonwealth Educational Seminars for Registered Nurses and the Association of Social Work Boards for Social Workers, as well as CCM CEs through the Commission for Case Manager Certification. They also benefitted from Mullahy and Boling’s vast expertise and experience, as well as an engaging collaborative exercise.
According to Catherine Mullahy, “Many organizations today are striving to create integrated case management programs: breaking down the silos of care; partnering with those inside their organizations, as well as within their communities, and achieving population health for their patients. In order to achieve these goals, it’s important to collaborate with those inside and external to your organization. At our seminar for the Greenville Health System, the attendees engaged in an exercise that really illustrated what collaboration means.”
